Jim Stewart relocated to Hampton Roads after graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1988. During his Navy career, he served aboard three Norfolk-based ships and completed three deployments, including two during Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Later, he served at EOD MU-2 at Little Creek Amphibious Base. It was during this time that he fell in love with both the region and a local girl, Bonnie Barton Stewart, his wife of over 30 years. Together, they raised their daughter, Shaeleigh, Liberty University Class of 2025 and former Ocean Lakes High School graduate. With over two decades of experience in real estate, Jim has worked as an investor, landlord, rehabber, bed & breakfast owner, and real estate agent. In 2020, he and Bonnie, an accomplished interior design consultant, launched New Again Houses Virginia Beach. Their shared passion is transforming older and distressed homes into beautiful, livable spaces for families to enjoy for years to come.
